Do I need to be referred?

No. My clients come to me through many different routes . I welcome self referrals; it is the first proactive step towards empowering your own future.

How many sessions will I need?

This really does depend on you, and what you are coming to me for! Everybody is unique and will make changes at their own pace. When you are 100% committed and engaged in your change-work, tasks and challenges we set together, the results can be quite fast.

People that are having coaching for goals and life changes many benefit from a more long-term relationship with sessions further apart. For more specific isolated problems, most clients resolve their issues in anything between one to six sessions.

During your first consultation, I will assess your needs and will be able to give you ideas of a suggested program.

Am I the right person for you?

The tools and methods I use are safe, widely used in medical and professional environments and have a reputation for producing quick results.  You can be confident that I will provide a professional, safe service with your interests at the heart. By uniquely tailoring the sessions for you and your outcomes, I ensure it is right for you. The only thing I will ask of you in return is that you are fully committed to the process, creating change within yourself and obtaining your results.

How is what you do different from the support of my friends and family?

The methods which I use are specifically devised to quickly and effectively resolve your issues and assist you in achieving your goals. The support and motivation you get from a coach far exceeds what we could normally achieve on our own in the same time.

What happens during a typical Session?

On your first session we will review your questionnaire and pre-coaching pack and build an understanding of what the issues are and what you want. I will be able to answer any questions that you may have, before we move onto ways to create the change.

In most sessions generally we spend some time reviewing the last session and any tasks that you have been doing, before moving on. This will be conversationally and using tools and techniques that I will guide you through. Towards the end, we will review the session and agree tasks and exercises with the new choices, actions and behaviours that you have acquired.

What do the accreditations mean?

In order for a coach to be credible and abide by professional codes and ethics, they should be a member of, or accredited by, an association or professional body. This ensures your session is carried out safely by someone who has received formal training and on-going development in their field.

I am a member of COMENSA (Coaches and Mentors of South Africa) and as a Professional Coach/Mentor I am committed to upholding the professional standards and ethics of the profession.

Do you provide sample coaching sessions?

Our free one to one consultation will give you a good idea as to the coaching style and as to whether you feel I am suited. Some people like to first book a one-hour face to face session, before committing to a coaching package. This lets you to get an understanding of who I am and how I will benefit you.

What is the frequency of coaching required?

This depends on the client, their goals and how quickly they wish to change their life.

Resolving problems may require a more consistent frequency after the first session of once weekly or fortnightly. Changes can happen quite quickly, often within the first or second session, although a little more time might be needed to explore more difficult and complex issues.

Whatever your goal, it is my duty and wish to help you create change as quickly as is possible and appropriate for you.

What can I expect?

NLP has a plethora of techniques that are fun, interactive, insightful and effective. We start by chatting and exploring what you want and what you ‘do’ currently that stops you having what you want. We will identify your style of thinking, your beliefs and own resources and together find more beneficial ways to be. We then have fun using the tools and techniques to create the changes. The only things we need from you are 100% commitment to the change, total honesty with yourself and your coach and an open mind to learn more about yourself!

Is it safe?

Yes! Totally! Safety and ethical practice are of uttermost importance to me, and are my highest priority in everything I do.

Am I in control?

Absolutely. I understand that this is a natural concern for people. You can be assured that everything I do in my sessions is in line with your outcome, is with your permission and is within your full control. The changes only ever come from within you, in line with what you want, so you have all the power! I am just your guide and assist you in facilitating the processes.

Is it for me?

Everyone has different beliefs and wants different things out of coaching. The best results come from an open and curious mind excited at the prospect of what learnings and insights it will bring you. We have many ways flexible to help you create change that is right for you that involve a more coaching or conversational style according to your wishes. I will never ask you to do something without your permission, although do expect me to stretch you and push the boundaries of your comfort zone to help you reach your desired outcome. That is my job!
