What is NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming)?
NLP is simply a collection of techniques and processes designed to assist a client in making positive changes. NLP was devised by Richard Bandler and John Grinder in the 1960’s – Richard was a computer programmer, and John a linguist.
They studied the techniques and behaviours of leading pioneers of the time, such as Family Psychologist Virginia Satir, and the “Father of Hypnosis”, Milton Erickson. Their findings form the foundation of NLP.
The purpose of NLP is to empower the client to find solutions to every day problems such as anxiety, low motivation, low self-esteem, bad habits and behavioural problems. NLP involves the client gaining mastery over their own mind, resolving inner conflict, and releasing negative programming from the past.
Neuro-Linguistic Programming has been very much in demand in recent years. Rapid and lasting results can be achieved with a minimum of intervention.

How does NLP work?
The majority of our thoughts and behaviours come from our awareness, commonly known as the subconcious mind. I use a wide range of methods and models working with the conscious and subconscious mind to establish how your thoughts, behaviours, values and beliefs keep you within your current situation.
We can then focus to change whatever we need to bring about a positive change in your life, increase self-awareness, improve communication and change outdated patterns of behaviour. NLP is practical and effective and can also be fun.
